Abstract: A huge amount of meaningful information and knowledge can be mined from the raw data using data science. The capability to transform data into meaningful insights is the primary key to gain competitive edge for any organization. Data Science is considered as the most attractive job for 21st century. The job of a data scientist begins with collection of raw data and munging on it iteratively till meaningful insights are obtained. Though there are a large number of technical papers available on data science, yet it has been observed that there is a lack of enough literature for a data science aspirant in developing an end to end solution for a data science project. The aim of this paper is to provide a standardized way to enable a budding data scientist to unravel meaningful insights and data driven evidences that can benefit organizations in a significant way and provide a competitive edge. The phases of a data science project cycle i.e. data extraction, data pre-processing, building predictive models and exposing these models as APIs to real time integration have been discussed in this paper. This paper also emphasizes on a few challenges faced by a data scientist and the best practices to deal with them. Thus, this paper shall help a beginner to kick start his journey as budding data scientist.

Title: Contrast Enhancement of Multi Root Teeth CBCT Image for Endodontic Therapy

Abstract: Healthy teeth means healthy roots because root of tooth is an important part of the body; it not only holds the tooth in jawbone but also keeps the jawbone healthy. Mostly bacterial infection in pulp damages the strength of roots. Because pulp is the only living part of the structure inside the root. Due to this teeth lose occurs in early ages. Hence, accurate evaluation of the root canal anatomy is required to keep your teeth healthy. For that endodontic therapy is the best treatment. In endodontic therapy, clear understanding of the root features is required. In this proposed work, CBCT image enchantment is done to get the features for endodontic therapy. The algorithm includes multi-scale retinex method and fuzzy enhancement approach to enhance the CBCT dental image without losing the important medical information of the original image. This methods compare with tradition histogram and Contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization CLAHE method .Comparison of the outputs have been calculating in term of peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR). The results have been encouraging; moreover the proposed method can be implemented in the treatment, planning and follow up of the endodontic.

Title: Design and Simulation of 4-Bit Parallel Adder using Minimum Number of Transistors

Abstract: Dynamic logic families offer good performance over traditional CMOS logic due to ease of implementation, less propagation delay, and less number of CMOS logic. The drawbacks of dynamic logic families are charge sharing, charge leakage, lack of design automation etc. But these drawbacks can be eliminated using GDI (Gate Diffusion Input) cell. This paper proposes a new design technique of XNOR gate and 4-bit parallel adder using GDI cell which require less number of transistors. The design claims less area, high speed and low power. The simulation results show the novelty of the paper. The simulation is done using DSCH 3.5. A comparative study of the proposed technique has been dealt here with traditional CMOS logic.

Title: An Area-Efficient Split-Radix FFT Processor Using Radix-4 Butterfly Units

Abstract: Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is one of the urgent tasks in advanced flag preparing region. Abstract: Remote Sensor Networks are utilized in variety of region since they can be appropriate for different situations. It can work autonomously in the state of hazard places where a human's nebulous vision is spirit or hard. Hence this work focus on arranging this WSN network into clusters by using GSCLR (Graph Spanning Cluster and Linear Routing). Use of graph based clustering by minimum spanning tree algorithm reduce execution time. Here after clustering routing of the sensor nodes were transferred by establishing logical path from different cluster center nodes to base station. Clustering algorithm was so designed that energy loss of the sensor nodes while transferring data was minimum. Here proposed GSCLR method was compared with existing MSGR method.

Title:Implementation of Arduino based Object Detection System

Abstract:Radar is an object detection system that uses radio waves to determine the range, angle or velocity of objects. This work detects objects in the given range using ultrasonic sensor which operate at 40khz frequency and plots them on a graph. Security features like sending a message alert to registered phone number whenever the object is detected using GSM technology is included and a web camera was installed to view the object detected. Since the frequency range used is 40khz which is well within the range of Radio waves (3Khz-300Ghz), the proposed work suits well as a radar system that can be used for security with sms alert.

Abstract: With the increasing trend of a cleaner and greener country, modern and non-traditional techniques of waste collection and garbage management are required. For this, we present an apt solution in this paper. This paper focusses on automating the door-to-door waste collection process carried out by the Municipals of most cities in India. By means of some sensors that together constitute a module with each module fitted in a dustbin, the amount that the dustbin is filled up to will be displayed in real time at a website. The authorities can monitor the status of the dustbin and dispatch the collection vehicle accordingly. Also, the garbage collection vehicle is to be fitted with a GPS Module to monitor its location continuously and display the predetermined route and estimated time of arrival on the website for the user’s convenience.

Title: IOT Based Advance E-Voting System

Abstract: Electronic voting refers to voting using electronic means to either aid or take care of the chores of casting and counting votes.This project aims to present a new voting system employing biometrics in order to avoid rigging and to enhance the accuracy and speed of the process. This system uses the fingerprint sensor to scan thumb of the voter's in order to provide high performance with high security to the voting counter also as we using internet of thing i.e. (IoT)to make the voting system more practical. As a pre-poll procedure, a database consisting of the thumb impressions of all the eligible voters in a constituency is created. During elections, the thumb impression of a voter is entered as input to the system. This is then compared with the available records in the database. If the particular pattern matches with anyone in the available record, access to cast a vote is granted. But in case the pattern doesn’t match with the records of the database or in case of repetition, access to cast a vote is denied or the vote gets rejected. Also, the police station nearby to the election poll booth is informed about the identity of the imposter. All the voting machines are connected in a network, through which data transfer takes place to the main host. The result is instantaneous and counting is done finally at the main host itself. The overall cost for conducting elections gets reduced and so does the maintenance cost of the systems. This system used to display the data-base of the user (voter). After receiving the instruction from the polling officer, also the voter can use the touch screen to poll his/her vote. On that touch screen the name and symbol of the respected candidate is displayed. The touch screen is connected to the client system and client systems are connected to the server. The entire voting counter result is updated in the server to protect from hacker's we are using encryption and decryption method.

Title: Improved Automatic Street Light Control System

Abstract: The network of roads is ever increasing with the development of country and so the demand for more street lights. Street lightning consumes considerable amount of power as it is operational almost half of a day. Presently the control of street light system is manual and therefore laborious and error prone. Using automation to control street lights would result in reduced energy consumption which can otherwise be put to good use. It would also reduce work load of the utility personnel responsible for control work. This is not a new proposal and previous work has been done using LDR/IR sensor technology. However such work was not found to be completely foolproof and therefore we have redesigned the concept based on modulated IR in order to make the sensing system more immune to ambient Light/IR noise. In present work we have tried to design an automatic street light control system based on modulated IR sensors to detect moving people/vehicle on the road. The scheme is to switch on lights only in the required regions of road. The details of methodology used, hardware design, software design, practical tests and results are presented.

Title: A Novel Approach On Improve Image De-Blurring On RGB Images

Image de-blurring play a big area as a task for researchers to come over this challenge. There are many methods developed for image processing to go over image blurring issue. However, in this project a Markovlaplace filter and Guided filter is suggested to merge with other de-blurring methods for improving image de-blurring enhancement. The proposed filter based on combining Markov basis and Laplace filter, Guided filter it is slightly modified to make it appropriate for color image. Escalation image edge content is one of the proposed filter using. Moreover, merge the proposed filter with other de-blurring filters provides high quality outcomes to improve the performance of several de-blurring procedures. Also, by using median filter the outcomes can be rise up for both color and gray images. The proposed filter compared with other filters and gives promised results.

These non-linear devices can be High power amplifier (HPA), Analog to digital convertor (ADC) etc. Therefore, a number of PAPR reduction schemes are identified and available in literature. Some of them are Selective Mapping (SLM), Partial Transmit Sequence (PTS), Clipping, Tone Reservation and Tone injection, Coding schemes etc. In this paper, we have discussed about Clipping and Partial transmit sequence (PTS) and their effects on OFDM signal. The simulation results are also presented for better understanding of our findings.

At the same time, the CBRS becomes less performer due to partial reasoning and it may consume a lot of efforts for revising if the problem is complex. In this paper, integration of Multi-agent-systems (MAS) with the CBR system is studied and this will help improving the capability of the Case based reasoning system in solving problems that uses the abilities of agents such as intelligence, interaction, cooperation and coordination . An architecture is designed that can be used in integrating MAS in CBRS (MAS-CBRS) to resolve complex problems. Two main software tools are used in order to establish how the integration of CBRS and MAS are successful in resolving complex problem of buyer – seller negotiations in the Purchase system. Title: IOT Based Home Automation System using NodeMCU and MQTT

Abstract: Internet of Things (IoT) conceptualizes the idea of remotely connecting and monitoring real world objects (devices) through the Internet. When it comes to our house, this concept can be aptly incorporated to make it smarter, safer and automated. We exploit this ubiquitous nature of Wi-Fi to connect our home devices to a cloud server as clients in order to get seamless access. MQTT is publish-subscribe-based messaging protocol and works on top of the TCP/IP protocol. Publish-subscribe messaging pattern requires a message broker which is implemented using cloud services. In this paper, Node MCU as a MQTT client which receives messages on topics which it is subscribed to from the cloud broker. We can control the appliances from any device which has an internet connection. Thus the existing infrastructure can be used to enhance the home appliances and make them smart. This implementation provides an intelligent, comfortable and an energy ef?cient home automation system.

Title: Implementation of Enhanced Range Exponent function for Xilinx CORDIC IP Core

Abstract: In this paper, Hardware architecture of Exponential function using CORDIC algorithm is proposed with extended range. The main application of the proposed exponential function is its use in different KERNAL functions of machine learning algorithms. This IP core is user configurable for different input ranges to match different KERNAL function implementations in hardware. The proposed Exponential function with extended range (EFER) is tested in this paper for an radial basis (RBF) KERNAL function of Support Vector Machine (SVM) Classifier. This architecture also supports different output accuracies by providing 7Q32, 7Q64, and 7Q128 format. The latency of the proposed architectures is observed to be very less with the values 250ns for multiple values of input with 0.75 when compared to conventional CORDIC IP Core. For other values, the latency slightly increased to support a wider range.

Abstract: The on-demand self service nature of internet technologies has dramatically changed the way of human livelihood as well as what and how information is managed. India is an agricultural country where 70% of the population’s livelihood depends on agriculture and it has been practiced for ages. Irrigation is the most important agricultural input in a tropical monsoon country like India where rainfall is uncertain, unreliable and erratic. India cannot achieve a sustained progress in agriculture unless the cropped area is brought under assured irrigation. Soil moisture plays a key role in the life of the plant. The aim of this project is to design a smart sensors based agricultural monitoring system. The proposed work is about having control over the irrigation and monitoring of the agricultural field using IoT. In this, a technique is developed to acquire the soil moisture and temperature values from the fields using sensors. Also, as per the values obtained from the sensors, the motor switches on/off automatically. The system connects physical sensing devices with the cloud through which the control mechanism is monitored using cloud. The farmers can also see the sensory data using their desktop or smart phones and decide the course of action. By using this system, it not only saves the water resource but also increases the quality of yield.

It has been seen that at maximum frequency LVCMOS have 14% and 41.2% less power dissipation with respect to HSTL and SSTL input output (IO) standards at 65nm technology.

Title: Fly Back Converter Based Energy Storage System Using FPGA

Abstract: At present scenario the popular research due to the effect of over usage of non-renewable energy has shown serious effect in the human life and also on the environment. This work implements a FPGA based battery energy system using solar cells under various illumination and temperature. It performs Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) based on perturbation and observation method, where it gets the desired maximum power by changing the duty cycle of the switch in the converter. The control algorithm is simple and easy to implement. The algorithm is implemented with the help of FPGA controller which controls the duty cycle by outputting PWM pulse based on the voltage and current from the solar panel. The generated power from the solar cells using the converter is stored in the lead-acid battery to supply the load. The solar power can be utilized for the purpose of various applications the main conversion is based on the photovoltaic effect and has Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) to be carried out on I-V characteristics of any given instance. The solar cell provides electricity to the remote area.

Title: PRESENT Encryption with Dynamic S-Box using Karnaugh Mapping

Abstract: In this work, the goal is to implement a PRESENT cipher onto a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) platform. The proposed design uses a 4-bit data-path to reduce hardware size instead of the conventional 64-bit path. Instead of traditional look-up table (LUT) based S-Box, the S-Box is implemented through Karnaugh mapping. Further factorization is also done to reduce the size of Boolean S-Box. Instead of using one static S-Box, 16 key dependent S-Boxes were used. As a result, FPGA implementation of the PRESENT cipher requires 229 slices on Virtex-5 XC5VLX50.

Title: New Anti-Spoofing Approach for Biometric Device with Liveness Detection

Abstract: The deployment of fingerprint sensors is increasingly becoming common and has now gained high user acceptance. However, fingerprint sensors are susceptible to spoofing using artificial materials or in worst case to the dismembered fingers. This paper proposes a new method of anti-spoofing using reliable liveness detection. The proposed method of liveness detection is based on the pulse sensor and changes in the volume of blood in an organ are measured by the changes in the intensity of the light passing through that organ, determines the liveness of the enrolled biometric. Our experimental results demonstrate that the developed prototype can successfully thwart the spoof attacks (those based on dismembered fingers).The GSM module is used for notification of authorized or unauthorized access of fingerprint system.

Title: Low Power Analog Circuit Design using Memristors

Abstract: The SR (Set-Reset) flip-flop is one among the simplest circuits which stores 1-bit memory. There are quiet many application of a SR flip-flop. Since memristors can show non-volatile behaviour, it can be used in memory devices. In this paper, SR flip-flop is proposed and analysed under the Cadence Virtuoso environment (Spectre). Also, the passive components are the main construction units of the electronic circuits and without them, the circuits would become unstable or does not function well. But, these components are bulky in nature and difficult to fabricate on a chip. These facts stress the need for a low area or nano-device known as “Memristor” which can be replaced by the conventional passive components. A 4-bit memristive DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) is constructed using memristors and compared with the conventional 4-bit R-2R DAC.

Title: Efficient FIR Filter design using configurable MAC unit

Abstract: The Low power IC design uses approximate computing and now a day’s more attention on this. Few accuracy configurable adder (ACA) designs have been developed to accommodate dynamic levels of approximation but these designs require large area overhead because of carry prediction and redundant computing. If error detection & correction circuitry is included larger area gets increased further. In this paper a simple ACA design without redundancy/correction circuitry is proposed and a very simple carry prediction is used. Here 16 bit adder is designed using simple accuracy reconfigurable adder (SARA) and DAR (delay adaptive reconfiguration) with SARA. Further simple CRA, CLA and SARA is used in Wallace multiplier and Dadda multiplier their area and delay are compared. By these multipliers and adders MAC (multiply and accumulate unit) unit is designed. The MAC unit is mostly demanded in DSP applications. Title: CPW fed circular slot microstrip patch antenna for Wideband application

Abstract: In this paper, a CPW-fed circular slot antenna for wideband application was designed and simulated [1]. The Proposed research work encompasses design & parametric analysis of new antenna in order to improve the performance parameters of the existing and future wireless communication systems. In order to examine the performances of this antenna, a prototype was designed at frequency 2.4 GHz and simulated with various radius of circular slot antenna for input impedances matching and simulated by HFSS version 13.0 [2]. The simulation result of bandwidth is 0.9 GHz (1.97 Ghz to 2.87Ghz) which covers the standard frequency of IEEE 802.11 b/g (2.4 - 2.4835GHz). With these performances, the proposed antenna can be used in wideband applications.

Title: Memory and Runtime Optimization for Automotive Embedded Systems

Abstract: Automotive Embedded System consists of ECU (Electronic Control Unit), the heart of the system and number of microcontrollers, actuators, sensors and other peripheral devices. The PCM (Power-train Control Module) is a type of ECU, consists of TC1793 microcontroller, focused in this project for optimization. As advances in Automotive Embedded System increases, it demands the addition of new features and functionalities in the software. The microcontroller’s memory and runtime start to take a hit and its optimization becomes prevalent. In this paper, an attempt is made to optimize the load on both the CPU and memory by using various optimizing techniques, inturn improves the efficiency of the microcontroller. The major challenge is to maintain the runtime of the CPU below 92%, in spite of enhance in the memory.

Abstract: This paper presents the different expressions of performance measure for multi-user and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system over Generalized- fading channels. Transmit antenna selection at the base station has been considered for downlink transmission, and maximal ratio combining (MRC) is performed at the receiver to improve the performance of the system. Outage probability, average bit error rate (ABER) performance of BPSK modulation scheme and channel capacity are also derived and plotted for analysis. The effect of multiple fading parameter has been observed both mathematically and analytically.

In this paper, we presented an efficient methodology for dynamic and static power reduction of FPGAs based designs. Significant reduction in power consumption is achieved by handling both circuit design and optimization issues at circuit, logic, architecture and system level. Unfortunately, the advantages of FPGAs are offset in many cases by the high power consumption and area. This paper gives an overview of power optimization techniques to reduce the power consumption without sacrificing much performance or increasingly a large area so that FPGA applications can be increased

Title: Optimizing the Convolution Operation for Image Processing using Efficient MAC unit

Abstract: As convolution contributes most activities in picture handling administrators, the convolution influences the performance and execution of a CNN accelerator. Convolution includes multiplication and accumulator tasks with four dimensions of Loop, which results in a vast plan space. Earlier works either utilize constrained Loop improvement strategies, e.g., Loop unrolling, tiling, and Interchange, or just tune a portion of the plan factors after the accelerator architecture and data flow are fixed. Without completely concentrating the convolution Loop advancement before the equipment configuration stage, the subsequent accelerator can scarcely abuse the information reuse and exploit data management effectively. This Project beats these hindrances by quantitatively investigating and advancing the structure goals (e.g., memory access) of the CNN accelerators dependent on different plan factors. Then, Project aims to propose a specific data flow of CNN acceleration to minimize the data communication while maximizing the resource utilization to achieve high performance.

Title: Effect of Multitapered Windows on MFCC for Text Independent Speaker Recognition

Abstract: Usually in speaker recognition systems,the short-term speech signal spectrum is often represented by the Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(MFCC).These coefficients are derived via Hamming windowed Discrete Fourier Transform(DFT).Windowing reduces the spectral leakage;the variance of the spectrum estimate will be still high.Multi tapering method is an elegant extension of the windowed DFT,which uses multiple time-domain windows(tapers)with frequency domain averaging.In this paper,we implemented a text independent speaker recognition system with multi tapered MFCC to show the effect of multi tapering.The classification is done using two different schemes namely,Gaussian Mixture Modeling(GMM)and i-vector methods.A comparison in terms of accuracy is performed with the speaker recognition system without multi taper MFCC as well.The accuracy of the recognition system is found to be improved with the multi tapered MFCC.Thus,with this improvement we can say that multi tapers are simple and robust alternative to Hamming window method and are viable method for replacing conventional MFCCs.

Title: Design of a MIMO antenna using fractal shape monopole for Wifi, WLAN and satellite communication applications

Abstract: Two compact fractal multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with an improved isolation is proposed here. The MIMO antenna structures proposed here consist of two monopoles which are mirror image of each other. Use of fractal geometry in monopole is used to which results in improvement in effective path length. The antenna proposed here, shows triband characteristics with respect to impedance bandwidth. Proposed MIMO antennas have dimensions of 43 x 47 x 1.6 mm3 with two different stub designs at ground plane. One antenna with simple slots in ground plane and other antenna with H-shaped slot in ground plane is discussed in this paper. These stubs helped to achieve isolation between two monopoles. The results show that both antennas are good candidates for WLAN, Wi-Fi and satellite communication applications.

Title: Tara Akshar Program: Field Analysis, Impact and Future Potential

Abstract: Tara Akshar (TA) is a program based on information, communication and technology to promote functional literacy among women under National Literacy Mission. In our research study, we wish to evaluate the impacts of Tara Akshar program among women in Utter Pradesh. We intend to use the random assignment of women to receive the program to evaluate it’s effects on literacy and numeracy. In addition, we use novel measures of bargaining power, confidence and cognitive and non-cognitive skills to identify the mechanisms through which female literacy affect household decision-making and children education and health outcomes. Some of our key findings include the dominance of males and in-laws in most households, minimal say about females in joint families, unanimous strong preferences towards male child, negatively stereotyped male-female interaction and the prevalence of purdah system. The impact of Tara Akshar program in enhancing literacy among female is much more relevant as one of the obvious trends is that females who are relatively more educated have a better socioeconomic status leading to a relatively decent standard of living. Their level of happiness seemed to be highly correlated with aspirations for education of their children, their health and a consistent source of income. The author conclude that with proper execution and implementation of Tara Akshar programme to all the villages in the country, its effective impact will not only lead to better education of female which will lead them to take better socio-economic decisions, but also impact the literacy and education outcomes of their next generation which can have a long term positive impact on our country.

Title: Cross-correlation and Variance based Double Talk Detection for Cancellation of Acoustic Echo

Abstract: Here, we present decision rules for detection of double talk in acoustic echo cancellation. Double talk occurs when near end talk and far end talk coexist simultaneously and also degrades the voice quality in communication. This detection algorithm is implemented using three different methods so as to obtain the maximum coefficient of cross correlation using far end signal , microphone signal and variance of error signal in first method. In second method the maximum coefficient of cross-correlation using far end signal, error signal and variance of microphone signal is obtained and in third method the maximum coefficient of cross-correlation of microphone signal ,error signal and variance of far end signal is achieved. This detection of double talk is necessary to avoid the divergence of acoustic echo cancellation algorithm. The benefits of this approach are fast convergence rate , less number of computations, and very simple to implement with good echo return loss enhancement.

The unparalleled achievements of deep learning make it an ideal candidate for identifying different races in a complex Rangeland environment. Weed control allows for the development of strong classification methods possible. This paper benchmark provides a base for classification performance using deep learning models. These models have achieved high accuracy classification.
